Glutinous rice with Peanut and Char Siew and the 'che" a.k.a dessert
My first try "Che" in Vietnam. this is the central market in Hue town. It's not expensive and yet its very yummy.
poor travel goers taking a snap after a long day walk and hot shower finally resting in this restaurant having dinner (but it was serving lousy food; in fact my worst meal in Vietnam!)
my shadow and the bicycles. during the Hoi An bicycle tour to the poor village of Kim Bong. It was an eye opening experience....
we signed up a road trip to Cu Chi tunnel. Built during the Vietnam war. Yet another eye opening experience for me because we actually went in to the tunnel.. although we didn't complete it but it was still a cool journey.. although the tour guide was quite funny,
another scene of exhausted travellers - the Cu chi Tunnel aftermath..but still have the strength to shop. big bag small bag. a lady offered to help us taking a group picture while waiting for our noodles in a stall just right next to the main road. (couldn't believe I did that, don't know how much dust i have gobbled in, but we did it and the food was really really good!)
we reward ourselves with a seafood dinner on the streets in HCMC Vietnamese Style.
It was really an enjoyable trip to Vietnam this time. We have travelled to Hoi An, Hue, Danang and Saigon. tried so much local food and the "ches" as compared to our last trip in Hanoi. We didn't enjoyed as much!
Would love to go to Vietnam again one day... when my che costs 20,000VND perhaps? lol
