Teambuilding @ The Pullman Hotel and Resorts Putrajaya

"Now Opened" a contradiction between the past and present.

Outside the ballroom. i like these lights
All of us were given a card each. We guessed it must be for groups identification
Arrival of HP-ers

the card reveals its purpose for this game. Called Noodles.
How to play?: Each and everyone have a noodle. Simple yet tough...we need to pass the noodles on our hands to the person next to us without touching other parts of our body except for our hands and the noodle must not land on the floor.

one way of passing it....swaying it from hand to hand.

another way of doing it is by throwing it to the person next to you. it was cool. my team finished it first. so i went around snapping pictures.

The instructor told us to throw the noodles whilst he was still standing in the middle of the ballroom. lol..he was in a scare i bet

They feed us quite well.
Round 1: Brekkie
Round 2: Tea Break
Round 3: Buffet Lunch
Round 4: Tea Break
Round 5: Buffet Dinner
Everyone was on their hunger hunger mode. queue-ing for food and more food..
grabbing nice seats around... quite cool but not so practical for dining.
Laksa
Ham at the Salad Bar

The Salad Bar

i miss this so much. this is a resemblance of my life back in Syd. din really ate a lot of this in Sydney, but it reminded me of humus and avocado dip. yummy...

my platter for the day

Desserts Time
and more desserts

My favourite was this. made from yoghurt.
Fruits Platter

The Iron Chef Competition. Iron Chef actually is under copyright. So we changed it to HP Chefs. There are 15 stations i.e kitchen full with equipment and ingredients. 8 each in a group.

The HP chef's masterpieces i was in Group 9: I fried those eggs. Something happened so i wasn't able to complete the spaghetti task. Completed by my team mates :)

some of my colleagues in HP
and more... see the sun is shining brightly on me!
it was a hot day

which we ended up eating under the hot sun

as the sun was setting

Pullman Resorts by dusk

it was a long and tiring day.......................but we generally enjoyed the day having fun. putting all our work behind us for just a day.

it was GREAT!!

Restaurant Yan Yan - Old Klang Road

Elaine has resigned as a market researcher in Synovate. We have been trying to arrange a time to meet each other for dinner. But to no avail as she is a VIP. All her schedule was full.

It was smart of me to think of going for brekkie instead during workdays. We have decided on Dim Sum near Taman Desa along the same row of shophouse as RT Bakery House. Unfortunately when we reach there it was too early. Not exactly early as it was around 7:45am. So I thought we could either go to Yan Yan or to Tim Sum house in Tmn OUG.

Yan Yan is closer and apparently it opens 24/7 for dim sum. All the dim sums are priced at MYR 2.90 per plate.

Quite reasonably priced.

3 pieces of fluffy Char Siew Pau

"Wu Kok" -Deep Fried Yam with BBQ Pork.

Steamed Fish Ball

Carrot Cake

Lor Mai Kai -Glutinuous Rice

and my all time favourite - Har Kau

Mouth watering yet? The prawn was fresh and juicy.
I will not say this is the best place for dim sum. But the food here was okay. you may wanna check this out. Its located directly opposite the junction of Taman Desa near the TDMC.

Appetizer

one day after i came back from work, my housemate was making this . Early snack just before dinner.

Tofu with bonito stock. The sauce at the bottom left corner is made from bonito. On the top right corner is some chopped ginger, spring onions and bonito flakes. it's simple yet yummy.
you should check this out one day

the sauce is made from boiling the soya sauce & bonito flakes

Last week i went to venture KL-Bukit Bintang area. Wondering why?  to purchase the tix to Wang Lee hom's Music Man Concert *smiles*
it is a good deal @ 15% off. *happy* *happy*

I could rmb very well the last time i went to pavilion was when we met up with a friend who came back from sydney. and i could rmb well there is this bakery in Pavilion that sells "charcoal bread"

This is the charcoal bamboo bread by Lavender

I know it looks weird..and its so blackish that you doubt you will even put it into your mouth. as usual i tend to check out new(difft) things. if i could rmb well i paid MYR3.80 for 3 pieces of the bread.

and the verdict is "I LOVE IT"
I may venture KL again for another adventure for bread maybe?

amazingly....

Cute

and Huge
Are you able to guess where is this place? It's Wong Kok Char Chan Ting. The one in which Roger Kwok is the ambassador.
This is a birthday gift to their diners. With the condition of minimum 6 pax per table.
It so happen that today is one of our colleague's birthday. We had no intention to come to this place knowing that they offer this. It happened coincidentally. When i opened the menu i saw this. So i told them..."hey you can order this! Just need to show them your IC tht's all"
We did not expect it to be so huge. When the waiter served it, he was carrying with both hands. And all of us go "Whoaaaaa......wahseh!" When we wanted to move it closer to the birthday girl, two person have to carry it.
Amazingly huge... It can easily feed more than 6 person. We only had 1/4 of it. In fact, i already felt full by looking at it. lol
I had a small cup of this and the side effect came immediately after. I had a minor headache since after lunch. Maybe it's time to admit that time flies. is this the sign of aging?
No caffeine for 3 yrs. I miss my flat white and caramel ice blended.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Gonna go watch "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". *smiles*

delicious

Went for tea @ delicious by Ms read in 1-Utama. It is located on the Ground Floor (beside FCUK)
J ordered a Carrot Cake. I don't fancy fresh cut carrots but carrot juice. Weird i know.. but i don't know how to explain why.

I got myself a cuppa Earl Grey Tea. The last time i had earl grey i rmb after adding the milk the tea turned "grey". I'm serious. This time, it looks just like how a normal tea in brown. *puzzled*
They offer Afternoon tea for 2 @ MYR59.90. Food served in 3-tiers. It looks quite good. Maybe i shall go and try one day.

Canton-i @ QB

Shrimp Wanton
Wanton Noodles

炸两 (Yu Tiao wrapped with rice sheet)

Roasted & BBQPork noodles

Century Egg Congee

I found the shrimp wanton good. The prawns are fresh and succulent. In terms of the noodles it was tangy. I've tried 炸两 when i was in Sydney @ Super Bowl. Basically i think the taste are similar as they are of the same thing. Nothing fantastic..very bland and just doesn't suit my taste buds. It doesn't bring a good flavour out of the dish.
Canton-i is the sister restaurant of Dragon-i.
They are non-halal.
Visited: Canton-i @ Ground Floor Queensbay Mall, Penang Island.
