week long escape from the hustle bustle in KL

Our first destination when we reached Vietnam was the Lang Co Beach. another potential wallpaper shot..

Central market in Hoi An. this is the place where we bought lots of earrings...

cam whoring at the Post Office in Saigon with DJ

There are just so many nice, yummy and mouth watering food in Vietnam. the blog roll continues....

Taufoofa Vietnamese Style... i love it cus the bits and pieces you see ..they are ginger sauce.

Glutinous Rice with Chicken...its yummy

Noodle soup with pork

Economy rice Vietnamese Style @ Hoi An

Economy rice Vietnamese Style @ Danang

Mi Quong (famous in Danang) a must try! the prawn and pork + the peanut blends so well with the sauce. and now i'm hungry...oh gosh!

Fish Noodles @ HCMC

Rice Paper rolls with Prawn @ HCMC

Glutinous rice with Peanut and Char Siew and the 'che" a.k.a dessert

My first try "Che" in Vietnam. this is the central market in Hue town. It's not expensive and yet its very yummy.

poor travel goers taking a snap after a long day walk and hot shower finally resting in this restaurant having dinner (but it was serving lousy food; in fact my worst meal in Vietnam!)

my shadow and the bicycles. during the Hoi An bicycle tour to the poor village of Kim Bong. It was an eye opening experience....

we signed up a road trip to Cu Chi tunnel. Built during the Vietnam war. Yet another eye opening experience for me because we actually went in to the tunnel.. although we didn't complete it but it was still a cool journey.. although the tour guide was quite funny, (dont like him cus he scolded us! :p CIS)

another scene of exhausted travellers - the Cu chi Tunnel aftermath..but still have the strength to shop. big bag small bag. a lady offered to help us taking a group picture while waiting for our noodles in a stall just right next to the main road. (couldn't believe I did that, don't know how much dust i have gobbled in, but we did it and the food was really really good!)

we reward ourselves with a seafood dinner on the streets in HCMC Vietnamese Style.

It was really an enjoyable trip to Vietnam this time. We have travelled to Hoi An, Hue, Danang and Saigon. tried so much local food and the "ches" as compared to our last trip in Hanoi. We didn't enjoyed as much!
Would love to go to Vietnam again one day... when my che costs 20,000VND perhaps? lol

witty and versatile

as i am a Gemini...

this picture was taken over at lunch..Parmesan Chicken with Pasta. The chicken breast turns out to be in a heart shape..Love this picture although random for the day...

Found some real fun facts of a trait of a Gemini...guess what?

I am expressive and quick-witted, the Gemini presents two distinctive sides to his or her personality, and you can never be sure with which one you're going to come face-to-face. On one hand, the Gemini can be outgoing, flirtatious, communicative, and ready for fun, fun, fun. Yet when the other twin is present, you can find this air sign contemplative, serious, restless, and even indecisive. Both twins are able to adapt to life's circumstances well, making them wonderful people to know. Things are never boring when a Gemini is on the scene.

Our strengths are curiosity, ability to share ideas, adaptable, affectionate, kind. However, our weaknesses are scattering energy in too many places at once, fickle in love, nervous, and have short attention span.

I think i have expressive eyes, quick, bright, often small-boned(not really) and refined features (not really). The best environment for us to be in is any busy neighborhood, places where people gather to gossip, bookstores and museums"

95% applicable.. :)

board games era..

A game well played...4 lines and that's it...saboteur rules this time..

Another exciting game is the blood bowl..kinda missing this game -.last played 4 months ago..

The cards for the team and also the scoreboards in blood bowl...should get this game in my hands soon...

My first ever experience in board games was ticket to ride.. getting routes and building trains...in fact I got addicted and everytime we go to mage we start of with ticket to ride first.

Thinking about the days back to 2 years ago when the boardgames kaki will go for games every friday after work without fail.. i could rmb clearly there was once i was working on my last deal approval while playing the ticket to ride in mage..it was a hectic day but i didn't give up playing...

those were the days...

3 years has passed...

keeping the momentum going

The best thing you would love to do at the end of a busy day at work will be food. My first time trying the food @ Purple Cane Tea. Apparently it is an eatery that serves their food cooked with tea leaves.

Fried Rice Noodles with Lei Cha

Fried Glass Noodles

For those who typically love to eat something with strong taste it may not suit your tastebuds.. however it is to my liking as i prefer "ching dan"

Next time i shall check out their dishes..would be unique with tea leaves.. :)

another foodie experience..

I went to this Fusion Japanese restaurant in Jaya One for lunch last month with my team mates. Never heard of this place until the first time i step in the restaurant. They also have another branch in Puchong Boulevard.

a friend ordered the Unagi Bento Box which takes ages to be served. The charsiew pizza is complimentary for every RM50 we spent. So in total we have 12 free pizzas for grab. We were also surprised that the sashimi was fresh... finger licking good.. The most exciting is the pumpkin with vanilla ice cream that i love to the max..not forgetting the avocado milk shake which i did not order...someone else did. Bet my next visit i shall check that out..

Right after the baking session we made our way for dinner at Muse. to be honest the food is not fantastic.. but i ate a lot. perhaps cus too happy and remember? i live to eat... best aperture effect i took for this glass of mojito. in the background you can make a wild guess who are they...my colleagues in the background...
