Has been long since my last post. Many events has taken place in the past 1 month.

Not much food explores though. Guess it was replaced by weddings.
Started working here in Cyberjaya since 1st December. Just like any ordinary new hire not much work is involved. Just a lot of training and slides to read on and doze off eventually?

Will need to travel to Sg next week for 5 days to be exact for training before kicking off work in January.

Wondering why such a gap cus there will be a 2 weeks shutdown period here in HP Malaysia.
So i'm taking 14 days off before resuming work. 10days shall be spent in Penang.. :)

Preserved Radish with Egg

Have you tried sweetened dried radish?

The very first time i had it was during CNY in Mae Sai, Thailand.
All of us fell in love with it and when we returned to Bangkok we went to the local market in Chinatown to buy the sweetened dried radish because apparently we can't find it back here in MY.
A big pack. and we finished it quite quickly. It was like only 3 cooks.

This is the Penang version from my mum's kitchen style of Fried Egg with Preserved Sweetened Radish.

Now they sell sweetened radish in Malaysia. I saw it in the Pasar Malam @ Taman OUG.

You should check this dish out.

May i shall cook this next week. Hee..hee..

Spag

Sometimes a simple meal like this makes you happy.

Believe me nowadays cameras do make something look way much presentable. Leggo's spag sauce is a bit sourish. Best is to make your own spag sauce from fresh tomatoes or tomato purees that can be find off the shelves.

Curry Chicken Danish

Prepare the filling with the ingredients below

Chicken Breast
Curry Leaves
Onion
Curry Powder
Dash of pepper and salt
Potatoes
Star Anise
*Fry and mix all the above to your taste*

Buy the puff pastries from the nearest supermarket. such as the "Kawan" brand puff pastries.

Fold the pastries after you have filled with the curry chicken and potatoes.
Don't try to be greedy and put too much and overfill the pastries.

Because you will eventually see it actually leaks from here.

I made the above last week and that was my breakfast for a few days.
and it was yummy :)

It was a lunch with our client Alliance Bank. The food are quite good especially the tiramisu. I liked my spaghetti :)

You should try it out one day. Pricing wise a bit of the pricey side but it's worth a try.

Rmb to try their desserts. Apparently they are good and famous in desserts.

Surprisingly, i had a sudden crave for alcohol. Believe it or not, actually i don't. But this is just how i'm feeling. strange i think...

Last weekend i was back on the lovely sunny island Penang for a wedding reception. It was a quick and short trip. Didn't manage to do anything else other than attending the wedding thingy. Met up with ALL my ex-colleagues from Dell. My ex-managers too. Not much have changed since 3 months ago (physically i mean). :)

I'm still thinking now whether should i or should i not post the pictures we took in Penang. I'm feeling so freaking sleepy now even though i had a very fulfilling sleep. urggh....guess im just feeling restless and "sien".
i think i gained some weight. because i look as fat. I'm FAT! You'll understand when you see me in the pictures.

keep the ball rolling

wahseh.. i just enrolled for gym on Monday.

attended the 1st session yesterday. sweat a little.

I don't really like the gym environment because it was too cold to sweat. tht simply means more effort needed so as to burn more.

and im going again later after i shut down this PC.

Don't Cry Again

Bie Zai Ku Le别再哭了 - Yise Luo Yi shi罗忆诗

Spoilt by choice ranging from flyfm to hitz to mix to 988 and to myfm. i decided to tune into myfm. it was still quite early when i left for work. so i thought i could catch the daily morning slot of "yang kwang chan ran" *just lazy to type in Chinese*. Right after that this particular song came on air. this is the first time i hear this song and i like it.

translated to english would be "Don't Cry Again"

it's a great song indeed. i know you will think it's an emo song. which i don't deny it. i'm quite an emo person afterall. i like sitting by the windows during rainy days overlooking the busy roads and do nothing. worth mentioning here is i did not cry.

if you feel like asking me why am i posting such emo posts these days and what is it about. don't try to ask me unless you can come out with 10 reasons why i should tell you.

that it reveals...

remember my last posts where i did mentioned that i can't wait till the truth is revealed?
it finally came true after all the longg time that dragged for if not days months!

relieved?
i won't say not at all but honestly i don't feel a strong relieve in me.

upset?
i do feel upset but not over the outcome because i did not expect an outcome from the confession.

don't ask me how i feel because i don't know how to describe it. it just feels so different and i'm glad that i made it. i once told myself not to do such a nonsense ever again but i just did it. well i guess this is just me. the real me. don't call me brave on that base. actually i'm not. when we let things drag and hope to just erase it via time then it's not.

i realised as time passes by we tend to think and do things differently. at least i feel so different from the last experience. no awkwardness or sadness. it was random and ended as it is supposed to end.

we came from different background and we never know how each other feels and think. its crucial to make things clear that i do appreciate our friendship. you know in whatever you do you have my moral support.

dedicating a poem to you.

I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you, and together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain, nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship, from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,But I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.

Because you are my FRIEND.

have you ever

have you ever feel like you wish today was yesterday?

have you ever feel like you wish to do something better if you were given a chance to turn back time?

have you ever feel like you wish to live in the history?

have you ever feel like you wish to look for something of a resemblance of the past?

have you ever feel like you wish you didn't do something and you wont ended up in such a situation now?

and do you know that this is actually a resistance?

if you answered yes to all the above you have not move a single step since your last stop.

Moving on is not easy and i understand that it takes time. painful yet unavoidable.

if you are reading this and you think this is rubbish then okay..just getting a little emo-ed these days. need to think of something to blog about.

and this is it Let's Move On. :)

Call me
I dont promise that i will make u laugh

If one day u dont want to listen to anyone
Call me
I promise to be there for u but also promise to remain quiet
But one day if u call

Oriental Spoon @ Sooka Sentral

I remember when i first started working in Synovate. i am still very free and what i do was browsing all the food blogs on earth. and i came to read kampongboycitigal's post about Oriental Spoon. and i showed it to my colleague. My colleague was very impressed with the Hedgehog look-a-like bun. So we decided to pay them a visit.

Black Sesame Bun

I have tried a similar kind of bun in Shanghai Ding on the same stretch of shophouses housing the new HSBC Queensbay Branch. It was way MUCH better and it's filled with lotus paste. The reason why i found them better was the black sesame bun shown above doesn't taste like the normal black sesame paste and it has a weird smell. Undesribeable, unimaginable normal black sesame paste will taste like. It is just weird. Rating? Zero/Five

I don't exactly know the name of this dish above. It does taste like char siew pastry but it's not. The filling is sweet and nice when it is served hot. I tried it after it was on the table for some time and it was not as good. Rating? Two/Five

Lotus Leaf Rice
This dish doesn't leave me with a good memory. Hence, this is just a normal Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice. Not fragrant or anything. Rating? Two/Five

Steamed rice rolls with sweet corn and minced chickenThe Cheong Fun is special because it's not the ordinary prawn or char siew type of Cheong fun we usually savour. I'll give a credit to this dish for their Chilli Paste that goes well with it. Rating? Three/Five.

Fried Radish CakeThis is really good. Soft and tender and fragrant with the Bonito Flakes topping. Heaps. Rating? Four/Five.

Steamed Prawn Dumplings or "Har Kau"

Fresh succulent prawn. Rating? Three/Five
Lotus Root Dessert
I like this very much. Simple yet special. Simple in taste and special in presentation. They stuffed glutinuous rice in between the holes in the roots. Do you see? Rating? Four/Five

Water Chestnut Dessert I like this dessert but when it was served it wasn't chill enough. or is it supposed to be served warm? Well it wasn't too swet and just nice. Rating? Three/Five

Char Siew Pau "Halal"

This is made from chicken and it doesn't taste as good as the pork char siew we get. Rating? Two/Five

Egg Tart

I must stress how much technology these days affect photography. I'm not praising myself for having a good camera or photo shooting skills but if you look at the pictures above you would think that the food must be really really nice. Especially for this Egg Tart. With a naked eye i bet you can judge it's not good. Not to mention to even pop into your mouth. But via this shot it does look tempting. But the truth is not impressive. Rating One/Five.

For the Price of MYR18.80++ for the amount of food above is reasonable. Quality wise they are Good. But i reckon they could be better.

Generally none of us like the dim sum because they not as good as being published on most blogs. We've had better ones before. It's worth a try for the price you pay.
