realised the last time i blogged was last monday.

but i dont find anything to blog about yet.

oh I just remembered. had a reunion lunch with a bunch of my high school mates the day b4. actually there were only 7 of us (7 tht's our number and what a coincidence). one thing difft is this time ALL GIRLS.

Lunch at Kocha and as usual i was there the earliest and those who is and will be late was late. They came at 1.30pm. I'm used to it but can they just be early? at least once? bah!

Let me say this to you here. To me if u are late for an event it implies that it has very least importance to you and you are not serious about it!

We were making so much noise in Kocha ( a taiwanese restaurant lah) that the boss came to us and told us to lower down our voice ( so paiseh and we left after tht)

We continued our "loud" plus "noisy" session in Coffee Bean Belissa Row. We were there from around 3 to 6.

Then we went into our separate ways before meeting each other back at 9 plus (which i was the driver who drove them up to Batu Feringghi) aiming to sapu some DVDs home. It was me only. They were all aiming for accessories. 3 didn't go with us.

And what's shocking is when we reached the tourist belt in batu feringghi...we saw a lorry right infront of the dvd stalls with the display table all lifted up *all blanks* with no lights . (am i describing it rite tht u get me?) So "sou heng" rite?

The authorities was just doing their sapuing job. Sapu-ed all the dvds before i could even sapu.

hmmm not much luck eyyy...

i guess i should be sleeping kinda early tonight cus i went to bed last night at 1 and i woke up with a sexy voice this morning.

*needs more water as bling got dehydrated*

heavy downpour

a heavy downpour yesterday morning started just before i roll out from my bed.

And then i only left the house at 7.20 when my sister needs to be in school at 7.30. THe journey to my ex-school is just around 20mins. When we reach the school area it was already 7.45. Guess i saw who?(only Colistrians know this) I saw Encik Rozaidi!! standing at the 1st porch giving instructions to cars going into the school compound to drive straight down.

hahahahahahaha.....He looks quite old now. With a pair of glasses. I could still remember the time when he first came to our school; he looks quite blur cus he was new and he was our Form teacher in 2Ungu. The naugthiest class in the year 1998! Fought in a Science project and apparently a group of us was accused of being the "ta jie ta" in class which lead to us ended up drinking coffee in the headmistress' office. Yeah i was one of them! And then in year 1999 a friend and i was transferred to another class separated from the other group of friends who was in 3 Ungu. I was in 3 Indigo back then.

But looking back at it now, i have no regrets cus i know i didn't do wrong. WE were and will be innoccent in that case in 1998.

Anyway....tht downpour cleared the haze out of penang's way. It was crystal clear with visibility up to 10km.

Fell sick yesterday and left work earlier at 3pm.

hazey haze frustration

It's now 8.22AM and i just reached the office 22 minutes ago.

What i did was Setting up my PC, Updating the Ms Outlook, Read The Star Online and now on blogging. Haven't started working? More or less with this way too ancient laptop.

Anyway...

The renovation here on the 1st floor finally has come to a completion. and

We have new cubes on the floor. and

There will be some relocations of seatings. and

I'm kind of affected. cus

My upper level manager is coming to sit right BESIDE me!!!

I thought the HAZE yesterday was worst.

Today's is A DISASTER

I wanted to snap a picture of the haze condition but i see no point doing it cus i can't even see the Penang Bridge from the Coastal Highway.

the visibility runs from 5km to 8.

It's feels damn stuffy and also feeling a little uneasy over the air inhaled in to my system.

What's worst on top of this polluted air is TSUNAMI is back!

Not Penang but a neighbour of Penang in one of the islands of Java. please please don't hit Penang again cus i don't want to be waken up from my sleep over a shaking bed.

HAZE IS GETTING WORST!!!

I can hardly breathe outside! It's so so polluted out there that until now the sun hasn't turn up from her sleep.

Can u imagine the severity of the haze?

According to her.. it's "Ling Li's " Ling. ( i hope the reader understands this)

Had such a yummy dinner last night. Went for the Famous Char Koay Kak on Burmah Rd. Then had the Ice Cream Fondue at Haagen Dazs. A good one and i only paid MYR15 for tht thing. Hahahahahaha......

Also yesterday, my upper level manager came to our cube with 6 small boxes. At that moment i had some thoughts. What is in the box huh?

And then i could see on the label that says

simply just a Laptop Lock for FREE. Give me a moment to check the list price on the internet.

*pressed Ctrl+T for a new Tab running om Mozilla Firefox and typed ap.dell.com and started searching*

came back with a dissappointment. I CAN'T FIND IT!

I guess it should at least be 25 bucks!

What should i do with it? Lock my laptop? The laptop that i used in the office is way too ancient to be stolen. No offence OK.

Lock my own lappie at home? Kinda stupid isn't it? Since i've got one that i dun even bother locking it, why do it now after i got this extra one FOC?

I was talking to a friend on the Windows Messenger (internal msn @ office) and i told her she can stop looking at the 4 letter word if she resigns.

Don't mistaken the 4 letter word as F*** like how she felt OK?

destined to stay up north

Last weekend my parents went to the fortune teller miles away from home.

Why do we need to find fortune tellers? Of course there are reasons behind it.

I have no idea what my chinese name for Ling is . My dad said it is supposed to be this 龄 and because it was too complicated for me to write i was told from young to write this 玲. And then my mother said since they are heading towards south they might as well go to the Fortune Teller and ask which kinda "Ling" i am suited with.

And so they found out what kinda "Ling" that suits me that until now i have not made myself informed.

Why? Cus it's not very important here.

Most importantly is this. Fortune Teller said

" I'm destined to stay up north"

My destiny is that i'm only suitable to work in the Northern part of a place apparently. Which now makes a lot of senses. I'm not a very superstitious person i have to stress here but i have to believe what they have to say and what i see (otherwise where are the explanation? Someone please tell me why?)

1st.. This journey back to Sydney, my father did not have a look at the condition of the day on the Chinese Calendar (which usually he will). So i was badly injured on my ankle. (this point is to prove why i have to believe what the fortune teller said)

2nd..If i was able to work in the Southern part of the globe why did DIMIA coincidentally increase 5 points in April 2005 and why not April 2006 or even April 2004? (Best explains it isn't it?)

3rd..Been to a handful of interviews in KL and in the end most aren't successful. It's either i don't want the job or I failed their assessment tests.

In Conclusion

I can't travel down to KL, Singapore, Indonesia or Australia or New Zealand to get myself employed because i just don't have that kinda destiny with these places. So those places will sit on the list solely for travelling purposes.

So u might hope to see me moving towards the North side to Sungai Petani? Haadyai? Chiang Mai? Laos? Hong Kong? Taiwan? Japan? Korea? Europe? UK? or the US? We shall see how things goes?

And the other thing they asked was

What kinda husband should i choose? What age plus what zodiac?

*faints*

I haven't ask them either.

Well Well Well......given what the fortune teller said about me not suitable working in the Southern side. I will not give up cus who knows? Destiny can change as time passes by i believe. It could be that in the meantime i wont be able to secure a job? 3 years down the road if i try i might get one. Right?

Last but not least : "Suit Kap" for Dessert
























Review: Worst of all i have to say. The little why thingy tht u see is what we call the "Suit kap" and it's hard and not smooth. Unlike the one i ate the other time it was so smooth that it melts in my mouth that i can swallow it in a second.

Rating: 1/10


Overall: I will not step into that restaurant anymore as i think the food served are not so excellent. (Should have gone to the Jade Palace Restaurant or Starview instead!) That few dishes comes to a total of MYR2152 after a 25% discount. Which means it's actual cost was MYR2869. I personally think it's a little bit overpriced. Over not the ingredients but the QUALITY of the food. Malaysia is not a good place to eat these kind of delicacies i came to realise. Comparing to how much i spent in Sydney having to eat Really Huge Lobster and Big Mud Crab i think it's so so much worthful and i have to say luckily we decided to go for the dinner in EAST Ocean. Thumbs Up!

ITALY go rock the football field this Sunday!!

I remembered bringing up the issue of not sending my car for shower for 6 weeks. (back from Sydney for 1month plus 2 weeks)

And so i decided last night to bring "him" for a quick shower before my dad again bring him to his hometown this weekend. "He" should be quite clean after a quick one last night and who knows IT POURS THIS MORNING!

I was sitting right inside the car with great surprises or anger should i said it? If i dun wash it, the sun will be shining happily and if i do wash it, it will rain right on the next day or 2 days later. What the helll!

Let me dwell with this. Actually it's not easy to. About me being the light sleeper. Having to be one can be good like if someone break into the house you can call the police. (how mann times out of 10 a house can be broken into?) I hate myself being a light sleeper that even after a phone rang i could hardly sleep back. So last night what? I slept at around 2AM over my light sleeper-ness! SToooOpid! Yet another thing is that i hate myself being so PESSIMISTIC over certain things lately.

There's this long weekend ahead where Monday is the Replacement Holiday for The Birthday of the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri for Penang. Which is So GoOD cus i GET TO WATCH THE FINALS! The plan for the long weeked would be just World Cup Semi Finals and World Cup Finals. Cus i have no car to go jalan jalan....sigh

and just a reminder to myself and those who needs to be reminded.

I thought today was Tuesday. I did not realise how time really flies. Honestly before lunch i thought i was still lying in the hours of Tuesday.

Just put on my initial on the Letter of Contract Extension with Dell. If things go smoothly i will be in Dell until 6th January 2007. A long time to go huh? That's when it marks my life 1 year after graduation! sigh.........

Updates of my ankle: I could see my veins clearly now! Unlike when it was swollen it looks like a "mi ku". Although there are still a bit of swolls left; at least i can walk faster now. Anyone wanna join me for a shopping spree this weekend? hahahah

Other than the World Cup Mania there has been a recent craze about Superman. Hotlink presented me with a FREE Superman Ringtone and an Operator Logo. Everyone out there shares the same conversation about how Italy beat Germany and how Rooney was sent of by the referee such as even FIFA have no idea why a Red Card was issued to him. Besides that, the other same conversation shared is Superman! Because he's returning ...to the skies? No no...he's coming to the screens!

But i'm going to watch STAY ALIVE! this Friday with my team sekalian. And they have decided to go to the Trader's Hotel by Shangrila for the 5 course dinner. Eat what? I have no idea other than knowing that there's lobster and abalone. No more "Fat Tiu Cheong" for reasons tht i havent find out.

While i was on my way home, i had this sudden crave over fried chicken. So i dropped by KFC @ Tesco thought of rewarding myself some crispy strips. Well they don't sell it anymore to my surprise. So i rewarded myself the Pop Chicken (no corn in it so i refused to call it PopCorn Chicken) instead.

I took a day off yesterday to attend another interview. This time with the monetary policy authority.

I was so dumb to have forgotten that it was a Friday and i did not buy myself a return ticket to the little island i was from and so I GOT MYSELF STRANDED in "Kay Elle"

What happened was after the interview session with the 3 panels, i took another 2 hours completing a test. When i've finally done with that Harrison something something personality test it was already 6.15pm. When i finally reach the Bank Negara stop via KTM it was already 6.30. With the speed that i'm walking like limping takes even more time to move from places. I then try to get tickets to Penang from Plusliner at the Old Train Station. (i don't know if i'm right but tht's what the lady from the Informasi told me so).

Plusliner dan Nice semua dah penuh! (I was flashed with these words)

Then...what happen was i walked ( or limp?) all the way to Pudu (far right? but do i seem to have any choice?) to get bus tickets.

Same thing i heard the lady said, "Ke Penang dah Penuh hari ini."

Ish!...Without having much choices i bought a ticket for the bus home this morning @ 10AM.

Disturbed my cousin again at her place. I don't have any clothes with me not even a toothbrush or a cleanser. Nothing!

I survived as I was lucky to have my box of clothes at my cousin's. Otherwise i will be like a mad woman wearing the same old shit for 2 days smelling like salted fish? hehehehehe...

As i was on the way home today, i was browsing through The Star and i came across this article. Pressing on how an abandoned project in 1998 called the Bayan Mall Project currently known as Queensbay Mall should be completed ahead of schedule by 6 months in the coming November. It will be the largest mall in Penang. Jusco will still be the anchor tenant for the mall and i was quite shocked to see that TGI Friday's is coming to Penang. Zara too and some others that i obviously don't remember.

Another separate article i read on Thursday was that Hard Rock Cafe is coming to rock Batu Feringghi. How true will the article be? Time should tell us.

I bought a copy of the Cleo magazine and i love the current issue so much! and i shall share with you the content of CLeo in the coming post.
