Fong Lye - The Gardens

If i was not wrong Fong Lye is located on the 2nd floor of The Gardens Mid Valley. I went there beginning of this year and only managed to blog about it today.

Very much of a delay but better late than never. They offer extensive types of food in their menu and usually are in the form of set.

It comes with a Chinese Herbal Soup. The soup for that day was Bitter Gourd's Soup.

The main. Cod Fish Fillet

The side dishes "Dumpling", Braised egg and Pickled cucumber and Rice with Minced Pork.

San Bei Chicken Set for Uncle Chin

and his version of side dish was Braised Tofu instead

Tim ordered the Glass Noodles with Duck

I ordered the Green Bean Ice and let me warn you it's huge.

There were only 3 of us and the table for 4 was already full with 3 sets of set lunches and beverages.

The good news was they gobbled up everything except for me. I did not finish the cod fish and the Green Bean Ice because i was too full.

Now that i currently work in Mid Valley, i have yet to go for a meal because this place costs you at least MYR20 for a set. Shall go one day because its really really nice.

*thumbs up*

i think i should never try to eat Kim Gary's set lunch on my own. the reasons underlying it was it's freaking huge a portion. well this is actually the only reason..hee hee

I ordered the Mark Six Curry costing MYR12.90 ++. Cheese Bakes curry with Sausage, Potatoes, Pork Chop, Chicken Wing and Ham Came with an Iced Horlicks and Borsch Soup. *i forgot about snapping pictures my apologies*

the damage was MYR13.4 and not limited to this. i'm feeling sleepy and a bit dizzy now. And my stomach is on FIRE!! the curry was very spicy...urggh...

lately my blog has been a bit dull...i know but need to bear with all these first b4 getting the internet connection live.

yesterday i was thinking hard of picking a date to go home. hahaha yeah i'm here not even a month yet and my cousin was asking me if i want anything from penang.(she's going back to Penang this Friday) the answer was yes....can i have my mum here? and my cousin said if your mom is here then your dad eat what? oh yeah hor...lol.

okie dokie....i shall go home one fine day.

oh yes...i'm going to Malacca this Friday!!
yesterday the treasure hunt organiser came to give us a quick briefing on what to expect this Friday.
it doesnt seem to be easy at all and the most important thing is we have to bring our swimsuits. *faints*
it is one of the challenge and its worth god knows how many marks.

we are going to leave the City at 9.30AM this Friday and expected to reach the Mahkota Hotel at 3.30PM.

hmmm...things sounded tricky to me after the briefing.

the best thing to expect is i'm going to venture the famous satay celup, chicken rice ball and chendol gula melaka. this is the main point to me at least. heee heee...

New Chapter Begins

Hi peeps...

it's been long since my last update 2 weeks ago. well i was pretty busy last week because i had to do a lot of packing. Last Friday 30th May marks my last day in Dell and yes currently i'm blogging from KL. At my desk in Mid Valley.

Basically i drove myself down to KL on Saturday afternoon and it took me 5 hours to reach Taman Desa. It would be earlier if the weather allowed me too. It was raining cats and dogs to the extent where i had to switch on the hazard lights on the highway. On the highway it is. Practically I dont see anything on the road and it was dark. *puzzled*

last weekend was solely devoted to room searching...

I went to look for apartments around Tmn Desa, Kuchai Lama and Jalan Jati off Old Klang road heading to Puchong where an ex-collegue stays. It was on Monday night when i went to look for a unit in Danau Impian which is located on the 1st floor of Block 17. unfortunately it is only available in July.I did not decide on anything and wanted to venture out for more rooms. However, to no avail the search continued for 3 days. It took 2 days for me to decide and i called the lady of Block 17 and told her that i'm interested to rent the room. Apparently she did an appointment with another person and she will only decide after the meeting. On the next day she called and she asked me if im still interested. And so; on Wednesday i went to her unit and we had some discussions over the rental and utility and etc.

So i finally found a room to move into BUT it will only take effect on the 5th of July.

I was quite worried on the first day i joined the company over lodging and car park.

Lodging issues had been settled and left with car park issues here in MidValley. I'm not worried about the traffic because i stay very near and it only take 5 km to reach in 15mins time. Petrol is minimal but bear in mind the price per litre has gone up by more than 40%. Full tank for SLK* pays MYR108!! oh goshh imagine if you drive a BMW or Mercedes Benz.

*small little kelisa* a term i picked up from my colleagues here. hee hee

Parking is what i have been worried for the past 4 days. Actually im still worried now because i parked my car on the roadside. :. I would describe my mood which has been in a non stabilise state. On Monday i got freaked out because i have to pay MYR7 per day for car park. That amounts to MYR140 per month. which i can use up the funds to pay my insurance coverage by adding an additional MYR10.

Then i was told that i can apply for season parking which i was very happy on Tuesday. Unfortunately i got turned down by the staff here that there are limited passes available and it's only available when my turn comes. I will be put under the waiting list and its LONG. Then HR told me that if im not entitled to a season pass i get to apply for car park subsidy for MYR60 per month.i was relieved by just a bit. net net i still need to fork out additional MYR80 for car park anyway.

and the good news is here during lunch.
i was feeling so much relieved just now when one of my collegue told me i can actually take a bus from Taman Desa to Midvalley...Tht's GREAT news. 15mins to reach. Tht's exactly the time i took to reach if i drive. next monday im gonna catch the bus to work and it's MYR2 per day unlimited rides on all U buses. yay!!! a big thanks to Elaine :D

that will be my update from KL so far. I apologise because no food blogs coming in the next couple of weeks until i move into my newroom and get the internet connection live. Well i'll try if i can blog over here at my office desk if i'm free. The freedom wont last for long....

i'm owing myself a post of my Birthday Celebration and Farewell Lunch @ Ms Saigon E-Gate. stay tuned :D

Kungfu Panda has finally rock the screens...i've been waiting for this show to come live and there it is. I'm going to watch it real soon. Not forgetting GSC is giving away free movie tickets as a birthday treat and i think i'm going to watch the Indiana Jones next week. a fine print - tickets are for movies marked with asterisk* only.

currently i'm getting excited over the KL-Malacca Fun Hunt organise by Synovate. Its going to be Flagged Off on the 20th June. Can't wait!!
